Mild Monday with Snow Soon

CREATED Jan 16, 2012

A brief surge of warmer air will be accompanied by more moisture and the possibility of a scattered drizzle and light rain later in the day. That will change to a wintery mix of precipitation overnight with the possibility of some freezing drizzle and eventually light snow by morning. Light snow will continue on Tuesday adding up 1 to 3 inches by the time all is said and done. Keep an eye open for an advisory issued by the National Weather Service, particularly for the morning commute. The warm up today will be brief as an Arctic blast of air rapidly takes hold of the region again. Our high temperatures will plummet almost 20 degrees and overnight lows will be in the single digits Tuesday night into Wednesday morning with wind chills to 10 below zero.

Have a great Monday!
