Winter weather has finally arrived. A cold front approaching from the Northwest will combine with upper atmospheric support to produce periods of snow which could be moderate at times through the day and into tonight. The falling snow will just be one component to the potentially problematic conditions. Winds will also whip out of the Northwest gusting as high as 30 miles per hour leading to a lot of blowing and drifting snow and highly reduced visibilities. Behind the storm, much colder temperatures filter into the region with readings dipping into the low to mid 20's for highs on Friday through Sunday.
Have a great Thursday!
