Sun and Near Record Warmth

CREATED Jan 10, 2012

Southwest winds ahead of the next approaching disturbance will send our temperatures soaring to near record warmth yet again this January day.  Readings will reach about 50 degrees across Southeast Wisconsin.  The record high set back in 1975 is 52 degrees. A dramatic shift in the winds aloft will finally allow a taste of Arctic air to enter the region.  Temperatures will plummet below average for the balance of the work week with highs only in the low to mid 20s Thursday and Friday.  Newest computer model runs indicate a better liklihood of some accumulating snow heading into the area overnight Wednesday into Thursday with the potential of a couple to a few inches.

Have a great Tuesday!
