Who doesn't love "The Lieu?"
Law and Order ends it's 20 year run on television tonight. NBC served up one of my favorite characters for satellite interviews. S. Epatha Merkerson, whom I must admit I do remember from Pee Wee's Playhouse, plays Lieutenant Anita Van Buren on the show.
I always loved her character. I think it's because she's fair, just, and honest. You always think, regardless of the issue, she's coming at it from the right place. She's the kind of boss you'd like to work for. She's the kind of cop you hope is working in your local department.
