LOCAL MAN GETS 5 DAYS OUT OF 5 DOLLAR PROMO
SAVES ON PREP TIME TOO
MILWAUKEE A local man extolled the virtues of the 5 dollar deals at Arby's while chomping on one of 5 sandwiches purchased in a recent 5 for 5 offering.
"They make a perfect lunch," said Jeff Gallagher. "I just take one out of the freezer the night before, and microwave it hot and tasty the next day."
Gallagher, a news producer at Milwaukee's NBC affiliate TODAY'S TMJ4, stated that he often partook of the deal for the expressed purpose of supplying a work week's worth of lunch items. "Anytime they offer it," Gallagher exclaimed to co-workers yesterday morning.
Gallagher was spotted carrying the Arby's Roast Beef back to his cubicle following a reheat in the microwave. The sandwich was on a paper plate, covered by a napkin, and accompanied by two ketchup packets. Gallagher admitted he does not care for Arby's Sauce or Horsey Sauce, both offered by the fast foot outlet.
"I applaud his frugality, not to mention taste in sandwiches," offered co-worker Vince Vitrano. "I'm not sure how they reheat out of the freezer, but he seems happy with it," Vitrano continued. "I would go with the Horsey Sauce, however."
While the item in question was consumed before 10AM, it qualifies as Gallagher's "lunch" since he works the early shift. "When you wake up at 3AM, lunch is at 10," he stated.
Gallagher also revealed that he's done the same with the George Webb 5 for 6 deal. That is offered when the Brewers score 5 or more runs in a single game.
