With every BUT-ler win, I got a little sicker inside.
I didn't enter young Ella's NCAA bracket in the office pool. Why would I? I know when I enter I'm throwing away money, and I'm making educated picks. This kid had BUT-ler and Sienna in the final. Right.
Well... as the tournament drew on, the "educated" picks fell, and BUT-ler kept keepin' on. So here I am last weekend, having submitted 3 different brackets in two pools, and I realize I've got as many final 4 teams as Ella. One.
I'm still not sure she would have won the pool, had BUT-ler won, but it might have been close. See, she and Max were responsible for that pick. I asked Ella, "Butler or UTEP?" She said BUT-ler, and Max laughed. It went that way... all the way to the final.
Unless the word butt gets less funny over the next year, expect BUT-ler will top Ella's bracket again. Of course, they return almost everybody next year. She picks BUT-ler for 2011, I'm putting it in.
