TIGER TO RETURN TO GOLF...
...AND PROBABLY WISCONSIN
Hear that? That's the sigh of relief the PGA, it's sponsors, even other players exhaled after learning Tiger Woods will return to play the Masters.
You could feel the sigh blowing south from Kohler, since Whistling Straits is set to host the 92 PGA Championship in August. There's no question people would go regardless... but the Tiger effect is dramatic. Attendance, sponsorship, viewership, it's all up when Tiger's there.
Barring the unforeseen, Tiger will be there. He's only announced he'll play the Masters... but back is back, and everyone expects him to continue on after that.
Click on the interview with Barry Deach, the Championship Director for the PGA of America. He was here to talk Tiger, and the 92 PGA Championship set for August at Whistling Straits.
This year you can get 4 free junior admissions (kids 17 and under) with each paid adult ticket. Amazing deal to watch the greatest golfers in the world on that amazing track. Thank you Mr. Kohler!
