Young Emily is in a fall show with Milwaukee Chamber Theater that opens tonight.
As most of you know my sister's day job was not traffic producer and fill-in traffic reporter on TODAY'S TMJ4. In fact, Emily has left the broadcast traffic career path altogether. She retired last month to accept a full time position in retail.
All of that, however, is what pays the bills between acting gigs for Emily. Many of you wrote nice emails after seeing her in a Spring show at the Rep. She's back on stage in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward.
The show is Picnic. I know nothing about it, other than my sister thinks it's a great show. I don't recall her every playing a part she hated, but she's been less excited for a great many other roles. This one she's really fired up about, so I'm guessing it's going to be pretty good.
I won't be going until this weekend. Em doesn't really like family and stuff on opening night. It's exciting and nervous enough as it is, without worrying about all of us out there.
Here's a link to coverage in the CUE section story in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. A couple of really nice, and really big pictures of Emily (Kristyna Wentz-Graff is the JS photographer). http://www.jsonline.com/entertainment/arts/63812277.html

Here's the link to Milwaukee Chamber Theater: http://www.chamber-theatre.com/2nd_of_season.html. If you bump around, you'll find Emily's blog that she's been writing during rehearsals. If you go, I'd love to hear what you thought about it.
