The Christmas tree broke, right on live T.V.
Today was the anual media event that is the harvesting of the Milwaukee City/County Christmas tree.
Every year city crews invite us to cover them in action, cutting a giant pine tree out of someone's front yard in Milwaukee. They cut, pluck, and place the tree on a flatbed. Then they haul it dowtown. It's actually kind of neat, but frankly not that excting... well... until this year.

SNAP! Oh, and even worse it happened right during a live report form Diane. Thousands of people watched the tree break as it happened. Many more have seen it, as we keep playing it over and over again. How about Diane's reaction, "Oh... that's not good."

One of my good buddies here at Today's TMJ4 once said, "You don't want to call everyone to watch your dog and pony show only to have the dog bite the pony."
This morning, the dog bit the pony.
