WE'RE IN THE PAPER
THANKS MR. CUPRISIN
We're in the paper today.
As most of you know I grew up here, so naturally I have the vast majority of my extended family still living in the area. Initially it was a big deal to them that I came to work at Today's TMJ4. Now more than 8 years in, the novelty seems to have worn off. Fine.
That is... until someone hears me on the radio, or sees my name in the paper. Then all of a sudden it looks like I'm somebody to them. "They said your name on the radio," my Grandma told me once. "Yeah, Grandma, they were making fun of me," I explained. "But thanks for noticing."
I'm on T.V. 15 hours a week, but once I ended up in the background of a Journal Sentinel photo at a news conference, and all kinds of people started calling me. "Hey... saw you in the paper!"
So let them not tell you print is a dead medium. I know I'm never bigger than when I'm in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Today, Media Critic Tim Cuprisin wrote about my sister Emily and me. I've included a link below. Thank you, Mr. Cuprisin.
