TURN DOWN THE TV SOUND AND...
...LISTEN TO CHILDREN'S MUSIC
You know how you have those moments in life that cause you to realize just how much things have changed?
I had one of those during the Packer game Sunday.
Like many Packer fans my frequent mode of operation during Packer games had been to turn down the television commentary and listen to the home team's call on the radio. Whether Max and Jim back in the day or Wayne and Larry now, it was just a great way to get the game. Watch the TV, and listen on the big speaker stereo.
Well... I'm still turning down the sound on the TV. I'm still listening to the big speaker stereo.
The difference now is that it's not the game blaring from those speakers... it's a CD called Philadelphia Chickens, featuring a bunch of singing animals and other children's favorites. It's really quite cute... the first 38 times you hear it... and when it's not on during the Packer game!
It's the compromise I made with the 3-year-old to even leave the game on at all. At least she dresses right on game day.
