ASCHENBRENNER STATEMENT ON COFFEE-GATE
ADMITS FAILURE BEYOND BEVERAGES
Taking exception to being called out in the blog and on the air today, Regional Director of Engineering for Journal Broadcast Group Kent Aschenbrenner issued the following statement on Coffee-gate:
"In my 30 years here at WTMJ I’ve never experienced an equipment malfunction that had such a devastating effect on our broadcast operations; we’ve been brought down to our knees. The multi-million dollar technical infrastructure we count on each day to broadcast our news and programming doesn’t mean a thing if the coffee machine is out of order. You’re only as strong as the weakest link; and I do believe we’ve found it!"
