WORST PIECE OF CAMPAIGN LIT
IF EVER THE DETAILS MATTER
If you're asking me to vote for you for public office, at least get your own literature right.
I'm not going to throw this guy under the bus, but I'm not going to vote for him either. Remember how mom and dad always told you... you never get a second chance to make a first impression?
I got a piece of campaign literature jammed in my door the other day. It's a guy running for county supervisor. My first impression: not so good.
The leaflet featured no fewer than half a dozen mistakes. They're little things. They ranged from misplaced commas to failure to even get the campaign's email correct. In the latter case, somebody clearly caught the mistake, and blacked it out with a marker! Nice.
All little things, yes. Isn't the Milwaukee Public Museum in serious financial trouble (almost bankruptcy) because the officials failed to pay attention to the little things? Isn't the entire County for that matter in a dire fiscal state because Supervisors didn't pay attention during the pension scandal?
Memo to candidates... mind the little things, at least on your campaign literature. Start there.
