DAYBREAK EMPLOYEE BOWS TO CRAVING
GOES FOR VENDING MACHINE SANDWICH
MILWAUKEE Today's TMJ4 Production Specialist Mike Jacyna bowed to an early morning craving today and purchased a turkey sandwich from the vending machine at the Milwaukee television station.
"I was hungry," Jacyna noted while devouring the first of two triangular sections of sandwich at about 4:54 AM.
He was undeterred by suggestions that the sheet of processed turkey on white bread offered little in the ways of meeting dietary needs for the day. "You know there's like, no nutritional value in that, " offered Live at Daybreak Anchor Vince Vitrano.
"No value there," replied Jacyna, "but value here," he noted while pointing to his stomach. Jacyna implied that he was aware of the lack of nutrition, yet he was not concerned. He paid $1.40 for the sandwich as a means to satisfy hunger and his desire for that salty sandwichy goodness. Jacyna also offered that it was not a frequent occurrence that he raided the vending machine at the Capitol Drive Campus of the NBC affiliate.
"That's cool," Vitrano allowed. "Any time they've got the salami on white option, I find it hard to resist. Nothing like a couple slabs of hard salami on some Wonder Bread with a quarter stick of butter slobbered on."
