Former Today's TMJ4 Sports Guy Eric Weber once called this very tie, "The ugliest tie I've ever seen."
I like it. Obviously I like it, or I wouldn't have bought it. Still, I knew when I did it may elicit a response. It's a tie you notice, no doubt. Clearly not everyone was going to like it, though.
So remember Erick Weber (right)? He did sports here for a couple years, and was unquestionably an excellent dresser. It's why I took his comment to heart when he said what he said.
Even better, he didn't even know he was ripping me at the time. It so happened I heard the story second hand from my photographer buddy who was with Erick at the time. The two had to stop at a mall in Green Bay in between shoots... and Eric was combing the isles when he came upon this tie on the rack. That's when he said to my man Jimmy, "This is the ugliest tie I've ever seen."
Jimmy (left) later informed him that I had recently bought that exact tie. Laughter erupted. I'm sure Jimmy had my back.
So, what do you think? I'm even willing to never wear this tie again should your responses overwhelming side with Weber. Ugly tie? Yes or no?
