PARIS... DON'T CARE, JUST DON'T DRIVE DRUNK
THAT'S WHY THIS HAPPENED
I don't think Paris is a bad person or anything, and I really don't care much about her. All I care about is that she doesn't drive drunk anymore, and that's what this was really all about.
Lost in all the frenzy over the jailing of the professional celebrity Paris Hilton is the reason that she ended up behind bars. She got busted for drinking and driving... got her license suspended... and kept breaking the law. At some point, you've got to do your time.
We're finding out what she learned about life. We're finding out what she did to pass the time. We're finding out she was claustrophobic and that's why she had to go home. All I really want to know after she spent 23 days in jail... Paris are you still going to drink and drive or did you learn your lesson?
All I wanted her to learn is that drinking and driving can end a number of ways... a 23-day stint in jail is one of the least bad ways it can end. Causing an accident and killing a family in a mini-van is another way that can end. I'm hopeful she learned by that standard, she got off easy.
I'm not saying people don't make mistakes, and that those mistakes can't be forgiven. I guess what I still haven't heard from her is that she's sorry.
Incidentally, she thought 3 weeks was tough. I bet you or I could do 3 weeks of anything if we were returning to the lap of luxury in which she lives. My point is... the scary part about going to jail I think would be the consequences of time served. Who will care for my family while I'm locked up? What happens to my house, my stuff, my car, my job. Will anyone hire me when I'm out?
Absent any of these concerns, Paris can't have had the same jail experience as many others. Again... I know she says she learned a lot. All I care is that she learned to stop breaking the law.
