I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO WEAR THIS SUIT
I WORE IT ANYWAY
I'm not a trouble maker, per say but today I am knowingly wearing a suit my boss hates.
I was instructed some time ago not to wear brown suits. While technically, this one is more of a khaki, it's still of the brown family. It's also lighter in nature, another reason the boss hates it.
Dark suits, white or blue shirts, expressive ties. That's the uniform for we males at Today's TMJ4.
If it's any consolation, my co-anchor Diane Pathieu likes the suit. Normally that would be good enough for me, but she doesn't sign my paychecks.
Truth be told, I'm taking every dark suit I own to the dry cleaner today after work. I needed an alternate that didn't need cleaning, and this was it.
I'm on Vacation next week, which is a good time to get those suits cleaned. I guess this is a good time to tell you I may not have a new blog entry for a while.
I'm not one of those vacationers who "stays in touch" with the office. I don't call. I don't check email, and I probably won't offer much in the blogosphere. I wish more of us would find ways to do this. Time off is there for recharging the batteries. I think you help your boss more by truly getting away and coming back refreshed.
No, we're not going anywhere either. Actually, I think summer is the worst time to go out of town. There's so much going on here. We're going to the Zoo. I'm playing golf, and I'll be at Miller Park as often as possible.
