BREWERS RALLY AROUND FLAG
FAN GEAR REDEPLOYED, BREWERS WIN
As it turns out, the Brewers' poor performance in May was my fault.
We all have our lucky this or that, don't we? You know... I always wear this jersey on game day. Or, we're undefeated when I wear sandals not shoes. The team lost the last time I ate polish sausage instead of brats so I'm switching it up this week. You know what I'm talking about.
I have my flags. Packers, Badgers, Marquette and Brewers. It gets a little sticky during early winter. You've got Badger basketball and hopefully football. You've got Marquette hoops, and obviously Packer football. Negotiating whose flag ought to fly at any given time can be a challenge.
Summer, however, really is a no-brainer. Brewers all the time. I do have an American Flag, however, which I proudly display on all appropriate holidays, and any time in-between.
Well, I put the American Flag up about a month ago and left it, certainly through Memorial Day. Realizing only thereafter that I must clearly be the cause of the Brewers' slide.
I am proud to report since returning to the Brewer flag out front of the residence the team is 4-1, and won the series against the Marlins over the weekend.
I apologize to my fellow Brewer fans and to the players and the organization. I assure you I will only take the flag down now for Flag Day on June 14th and July 4th, where I will display Old Glory.
I may also declare an executive order to change up the flag, should the Crew go on another losing streak. Of course, that shouldn't happen. Flag is back out flying... buy your World Series tickets now.
