This is one of the scariest hourglasses of all time. Never mind that. In retrospect, Wizard of Oz is one of the scariest movies of all time.
We were talking about it on the show this morning... that crazy hourglass with the red sand that was glued to the table. Dorothy can't turn it over! Those monkeys flying around outside! The scary music! Make it stop! Turn it off! Turn it off!
A fantastic film, without question, but why did our parents' generation mistake it for a children's movie? Hey kids, you want to watch this movie about a tornado that wipes out a whole family except this poor little girl who drops her house on one witch, is tormented by another, and who's best friends become a scarecrow, tin-man, and lion?
Good times.
