TODAY SHOW RESPONSE, VOL. 2
NO RAINBOW ROOM FOR YOU!
Greg from Union Grove saw the Today Show Crew performing CPR.
Great email from Greg who says on a visit to NYC, he stumbled upon the Today Show set out on the Plaza. He was just in time to catch the segment on CPR, and got to see the whole crew doing chest compressions. 1-and-2-and-3...
Greg also asks: "Did you see the Rainbow Room? LOVE that place. Art Deco at its finest. I expected to see Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire waltzing out any minute."
I wish. Actually, it's on my long list of stuff I'd like to do and see in New York if I'm ever there for something other than work. I've been three times now, and always on business. My sister lives there, however, so I'm hopeful I'll get a chance to see the Rainbow Room, and lots of other stuff too.
Incidentally, isn't the Rainbow Room where Kramer took the Japanese tourists to blow all their money?
Also on the list of stuff to do is finish going to the top of the Empire State Building. Susan and I walked about 2 miles to get there after breakfast the morning of the interview. We got in line and waited like a half hour. Then we did the math, and realized we'd probably never reach the observation deck in time to get to NBC when we wanted to. So we went almost to the top of the Empire State Building. Good times.
