STAR WARS AUF DEUTSCH
I'll give most ladies a pass on not knowing Star Wars, but the honest mistake made by Today's TMJ4 producer Diane Znamierowski made me laugh out loud... and I'm still laughing.
We affectionately refer to her as Dr. Z (seen in this photo at left) since no one can pronounce her last name. I'm proud I came up with that nickname. It stuck.
So she wrote a script about the 30th anniversary stamp coming out in honor of Star Wars, and she referred not only to 3-CPO (should be C-3PO) but also to Harrison Ford's enduring character, Hans Solo (should be Han Solo).
Hans Solo! I can't get enough of that. HANS!
I can't get out of my mind the endless possibilities of a Saturday Night Live style spoof on the Sci-Fi classic.
Imagine a German-English style presentation of the Adventures of Hans Solo.
SOLO: Yah, Guten Tag. My name ist Hans Solo, und here ist meine movie Shtar Vors!
VADER: Yah, und ich bin Dunkel Vader. Das forse ist zehr poverful.
SKYWALKER: Hallo. Ich bin Luke Shky-valk-er, und I vant to learn about za forse. Oh, yah, und Dunkel Vader ist not my Fater.
Thanks for trying, Dr. Z. You're the best.
