I DID NOT HIDE SUSAN KIM'S CURLING IRON
Susan Accuses Me of Theft in Wake of Curling Iron Blog
MILWAUKEE Today's TMJ4 anchor Susan Kim accused her co-anchor Vince Vitrano of theft, Wednesday after discovering her curling iron was missing. The charge comes in the wake of a blog entry which Vitrano furnished the previous day exposing Kim's on set curling. Subsequent investigation proved the iron was not stolen.
The controversy began the previous day when Vitrano entered an internet article featuring Kim. That article accused Kim of endangering safety by using her curling iron on the news set.
Upon entering work this morning, Kim was unable to locate said curling iron. She immediately accused Vitrano of theft. "I'm missing my curling iron," Kim exclaimed openly in the newsroom. "I think you stole it."
Shocked and appalled Vitrano replied, "I did not steal your curling iron, and I don't know where it is." He went on to offer, "I recall you left it on the set yesterday morning."
The curling iron was located shortly thereafter, behind a box on the news set.
"I'm still waiting for an apology," Vitrano whined when interviewed for this story. "I mean, I raise a legitimate safety concern, and she accuses me of theft. Now, hiding the curling iron," Vitrano continued, "that would have been funny. I wish I'd thought of it."
When reached later this morning for comment, Susan Kim would only offer this, "I can't believe people are reading this stuff."
