My 3 year old daughter could finish third place in the office pool.
Olivia only reluctantly participated in my bracket questionnaire the week the NCAA Tournament began. Of my three children, her bracket seemed the most plausible to compete in the TODAY'S TM4 office pool. Of course, it's the lack of plausibility that has her still in contention.
Granted... the child did pick 15th seeded UC Santa Barbara meeting Wisconsin in the Elite 8. She sits in 44th place right now in a pool of about 50. She has only 1 final four team, but it happens to be the one she picked to win it all... and one nobody else had.
If Kentucky wins the whole thing, the kid vaults to number three and finishes in the money (not that there is any of course).
Here's the note that went out to participants from Ryan Scott, the administrator of the pool:
RE: Most of you will lose to a 3 1/2 year old
The next time I hear, "I'm not going to do a bracket this year. I don't know anything about college basketball and don't have any time," I'm going to point to Olivia Vitrano.
