He's Thinking What Most Of Us Are Thinking
Brett Favre, Mark Chmura, and Frank Winters.
Once upon a time, they were the Three Amigos with the Pack. And despite a few rocky patches, they're all good friends again.
And even though Favre told Winters a few weeks ago that his surgically repaired left ankle wasn't coming around as he had hoped, and that he was seriously thinking about retirement...Mark Chmura's not buying it.
In fact, I had heard a couple of months back that the Vikings were thinking about sweetening the pot to bring Favre back, possibly making him the highest paid QB for a year...or nearly the highest paid player in the league. Guess what? There are rumblings that Minnesota brass is huddling to try and add to the $13 million owed to number 4, just to try and sway him back to the Land of Lutefisk.
Click on the video link for Chmura's take on the latest Favre retirement speculation and just remember...last year on August 3rd, Brett told the Vikings he wasn't coming back...and he did on August 18. On the 3rd, this speculation comes out. I'm thinking deja vu on 18th my friends.
