The Bears Are Coming Apart at the Seams
Consider it an early Christmas present Packers fans...because the Bears, are already eating their own.
A few weeks back, legendary RB Gale Sayers came out, and basically said Jay Cutler hasn't done the job (he hasn't), that Brian Urlacher might not be the same player at 33, coming back from injury (he probably won't), and that he thinks Lovie Smith will be fired if the Bears don't improve (which he probably will be fired, because the defense is aging and they appear only slightly better.)
So then Urlacher comes out and jumps all over Sayers, saying how many championships did Gale Sayers win? How many playoff games did he win? None, none and none.
OK Big Brian. It's none and none, since you asked two questions. And did you bother to check the fact that Sayers was the most dominant player on the field in numerous games he's played, something you haven't done for years?
What Sayers said was his opinion, and mostly true. I love how Dick Butkus and Mike Ditka jumped to Sayers defense. I'm telling you, I'm not going against Iron Mike and Dirty Dick. I'm on Sayers side.
Do you think Urlacher was right? Will this not even matter to the current Bears when they suit up against the Pack and others this season? Email me your opinions at lallan@todaystmj4.com
