Lance Allan: Sports Glance with Lance
So The Trip Went Like This...
With the Twins, It's Always an Adventure
I'm back from by brief vacation to Arizona. Best parts? Oldest twin Brendan saying "we're ready for blast off!" right before takeoff...and Ethan screaming "I gotta pee!" louder than Forrest Gump ever could, all in front of at least 40 retirees in our section at the Brewers-Giants game in Scottsdale.
They laughed as I loudly said "I guess everyone knows where we're going!" as I took him down the aisle.
But the best? I'll spare you the photo, but we took the kids to the Pima Air and Space Museum outside Tucson. Large outdoor airplane graveyard. Suddenly I say to my wife and her grandparents, "Hey, check out Ethan...looks like he might be a Blue Angel someday."
Ethan steps behind the 1960's model Blue Angel plane....and then I only notice his hands fumble around in his pockets. I put two and two together....he's going to pee!
To avoid the Air Force throwing us into clink, I refrained from shouting...and thank goodness he's patriotic enough that he didn't hit the plane. Ah, great vacation memories that would make the Griswolds proud...
