Local Olympic Gymnast Chellsie Memmel has had more than her share of hurdles to climb in her career. In 2008, she made the Olympic team...only to break her ankle just a few weeks before the games started.
She merely went out, performed a very solid uneven bar routine, and landed ON HER BROKEN ANKLE clean to help the U.S. win a silver medal in Beijing.
Well we recently caught up with Chellsie and her parents facility, M & M Gymnastics in New Berlin...and there's a new motto on the wall. When the going gets tough, Memmel Up!
