The One Word Tiger Never Said

By No Means Is He Out of the Woods

  • Print

Right off the bat, I want this to be clear.  This blog, is my opinion.  You might think I'm right, you might think I'm wrong.  But this is an opinion piece, totally my opinion.

One, Tiger Woods is not on the right path to redemption.  In my view, the path he's chosen will not lead him to inner peace and ultimate contentment.  I believe there's only one truth path to forgiveness, and he's not on it.

Some of us have different beliefs.  My belief is that he's still searching, and should continue to search for the correct path.

Two, if I ever did something to deeply hurt my wife or family, I would make sure I would say two words.  Sorry, and love.  We heard the sorry.  But in the 14 times he mentioned his wife Elin, he never said anything about love.  Never said he still loves her.  Never said how much regret he has to hurt the one he loves.  Never said despite plenty to work on, that he loves her strength during this time.  Tiger's like the guy on the beer commerical.  I lu....I la.....Iuh....would you like a beer Tiger?  I'd love that.  He just couldn't spit it out!

I agree with Tiger that most things should be private between him and Elin and his kids, and most things should be resolved behind closed doors.  But Elin not being there spoke volumes...and never once saying he loved her, to me, meant this is still, to a degree, about him.  Not saying he loves her once, after saying his wife's name 14 times...means there's still trouble ahead.
