The first thing that needs to be said...Tiger Woods doesn't have to speak on anything. If he so chooses, he doesn't have to explain himself, to anyone.
But I applaud the Golf Writers Association of America for boycotting this sham. Only friends, colleagues and close associates will be allowed into this thing that won't even be a press conference, as no questions will be allowed.
So no questions, mean no answers, which means more questions are certain to arise.
Tiger, why do you insist that you can still control everything? If you want to get something off your chest, take questions and just say no comment to anything you don't want to answer. Otherwise, don't talk at all. One of the first lessons of therapy is that you need to realize, you can't control everything. You're not strong enough to do that.
Tiger is conscious of everything he does. Do you really think it's a coincidence that his first public statement since a car accident and sex scandal, is opposite a tournament sponsored by the first company to drop Woods as a pitchman...Accenture. Clearly, revenge and spite is on his mind.
Good for Ernie Els for speaking his mind, calling Woods "selfish." At least somebody in the golf world is doing so.
