By now you've probably seen the video. Thrashers and Panthers in the NHL, Panthers goalie and former Admiral Tomas Vokuhn gives up a goal...Panthers defenseman Keith Ballard so upset, he goes to hit the post...and he puts his stick upside Vokuhn's head, knocking him out of the game!
Well, if you can believe this...the NHL actually reviewed the incident, to see if teammate on teammate crime, even if it's a completely stupid accident, is an offense worthy of a suspension.
The NHL discipline czar couldn't have put it any better than me. Colin Campbell said, and I quote, "Keith Ballard has been punished enough as highlights of the hit, and all the talk around it, are punishment enough."
