Glad To See This Is Already A Thought
Even despite a 10-1 season....and Brett Favre's arm showing no signs of tiring...and Minnesota having one of the best balanced teams offensively and defensively in the NFL...I love the fact that the burned Vikings fans are already gripping about the postseason possibilities.
You see, this is the franchise with 4 Super Bowl losses. The 1998 team, which at that time scored the most points in an NFL season...and still managed to lose the NFC Championship Game by a field goal. And a team that's endured the long running joke: What do you call a Viking with a Super Bowl ring? A thief!
Well now comes this little nugget from Minneapolis Star-Tribune columnist Bob Sansevere, who's been known to stir things up and look from time to time at Minnesota's often times dismal sports history. Well, ol' Bob delivers this gem...that the Vikes worst fear could be what happened to the Pack in 2004. Beat your arch rival twice (GB did that to MN that season), then lose to them at home.
