We have a fire hydrant in front of our house. So I asked my wife that if I hit it at 2:30 in the morning, would she come out of the house with a 5 iron, smash in my back window, and get me out of harm's way?
Thankfully, she said yes.
I wish the rest of this Tiger Woods story was that funny. Because somehow I believe there's a lot more to the story. Leaving the house at 2:30am? At first he was reported in "serious" condition, then Orlando police said it was a "minor" accident and he was in good condition.
Plus Woods drifted in and out of consciousness, and when emergency responders arrived, he was laying in the street with his wife Elin hovering over him. TMZ.com reported the two were arguing before the crash, you hope it's not true.
But we may never know the whole and full story. Woods protects his privacy with the same tenacity he goes after a Major title. But like one of my parents once told me, very little good happens after midnight. It only gets worse at 2:30 in the morning when cops are involved.
