Packers And the Boss, Or Who's the Real Boss?

Who's Bigger This Past Weekend?

I predicted a Packers victory...check it out at:  http://www.todaystmj4.com/bloggers/lanceallan/69935387.html    But I'll be the first to admit, I had no idea the defense would be that stout against a high powered Cowboys offense.

I also did one of the crazier things I've done on a Sunday.  Packers game at 3:15pm, Milwaukee season ticket holders game and traffic...and I had tickets to Bruce Springsteen for a 7:30pm show!  I kiddingly told Aaron Rodgers last week to speed things up...limit the penalties, no challenges, lots of running plays.  Shows how much power I have...none of the 3 happened.  But there are some wild comparisions:

Both performances, amazing in their own right.  Down toward the bottom of the screen, you see Bruce working the crowd with his guitar on his back.  As for the Pack, Tony Romo seemed to have some type of defender draped all over his back.  Sacking a mobile QB 5 times?  The Packers having more sacks (5) than times their own QB got sacked (4), when's the last time that happened?

Baby we were Born to Run.  Well, I tried.  I missed that song by the Boss.  I showed up at 10pm...good thing Bruce didn't start until 8:20pm and since he plays 3 hours, I was able to take in an hour and 15 minutes of the show.  And while Mike McCarthy will never be confused with Richard Dawson or Arnold Schwarzenegger in "The Running Man," at least he kept the Cowboys D honest.  A solid 28 rushes, 19 by Ryan Grant, 4.2 average by Grant.  Not a bad start.

Solid 3 hour plus performances.  You know what?  I'd have to give the nod to the Pack in this area.  Bruce played exactly 3 hours, without an encore.  The Packers went 3 hours and 19 minutes...with a standing ovation encore as they ran off the field.  It's hard to beat the Boss....but in this case, the Pack did just that!
