First, I've been lazy on the blog...because I've been working like mad with everything else. At Lambeau for the game last Saturday, got back and in bed at 3...up at 7 for my nephew's baptism Sunday morning. Off Monday for the Franklin Educational Foundation golf outing. Four hours of sleep, up and at 'em for the 8:45am Tuesday morning Packers training camp practice. Favre news breaks, I come back and work until close to midnight. Back up at 5, at Lambeau Wednesday morning by 7:45am for an upcoming interview with Aaron Kampman.
I love my job, but the hours aren't always compatable with family, and sleep.
So now I'm back...and guess what? Whatever you think of the Favre situation, I'm going to party with the man on Monday, October 5. You see, I'll be in Minneapolis...he'll be there...and it's my birthday. So come celebrate with us...Brett turns 40 a few days later, so I'm thinking we'll just split the cost on the cake.
And let's hope the outcome isn't like this. The last time the Packers played the Vikes on my birthday? October 5, 1998...Randy Moss' coming out party under the Monday night lights, when he torched the Packers secondary in the rain for a 37-24 win that ticked off Ron Wolf so bad, he drafted 3 cornerbacks the next year.
