ANOTHER NEAR MAJOR MUSIC TRAGEDY
BUT THANK GOODNESS THIS ONE HAS A HAPPY ENDING
On the day that Michael Jackson was laid to rest, I was sad to hear of another near huge music tragedy.
Tone Loc collapsed during an outdoor concert, and was taken to the hospital.
Don't laugh! Tone Loc was one of my rap heros as a kid. Loved his performance in Ace Ventura, Pet Detective. And at my high school reunion, I did a killer rendition of "Funky Cold Medina" and told all my classmates if it showed up on You Tube, I'd never come back again.
Well, thank goodness the baritone voiced "Wild Thing" master was released from the hospital...and he's recovering.
I couldn't have handled another music catastrophe in my life this week.
