There's a video that hit the internet from our sister station in Vegas that brought back some funny, and not so fond memories.
I'll always remember it. Marquette's at the Final Four. We're in New Orleans, and ordered to do our live shots on Bourbon Street. I immediately thought, recipe for disaster.
So our first live shot, it's like a moth to the flame. Right when I go on, a drunk stumbles right over, and proceeds to try and pour a beer on the camera lens. You couldn't see it, but I was stiff arming him and trying to say "hey, Dwyane Wade's an All-American" all at the same time. That's when our photographer, big Dan Selan grabbed the dude by the neck and pants, and while I'm live on the air...you just see some guy flying behind me into Bourbon Street. Good times!
Well, at our sister station, KTNV in Las Vegas, the reporter doing a Michael Jackson piece, attracts a rather agressive drunk...and later slaps him. I love the lines "yeah, you like Michael Jackson too" and "this guy's a little out of control, but you can't blame him for that."
So here's the link. Enjoy! http://blogs.trb.com/entertainment/technology/watchthis/2009/07/tv_reporter_slaps_rude_guy.html
