I remember May Day this year quite well. One of my buddies said "I'm so sick of this Brett Favre stuff. Get it done, one way or the other already!"
To which I quickly replied, "July 1st." He said "WHAT!$$!" amongst all the expletives. And I said, he won't show up for the offseason stuff. He'll have surgery, work back into shape. The earliest we'll know anything official....over/under is July 1st.
Well, where are we at. It's getting late in June, the offseason activities are gone....and so is Brad Childress. He's in Alaska, on vacation with Eagles Coach Andy Reid this week. So I highly doubt anything would become official while the coach is away.
The daughter of Childress gets married on July 11. Plus that's getting closer to training camp, so I'm thinking before that.
Just remember, July 1. Although Profootballtalk.com has a very good prediction of July 3rd. It's a Friday, when a lot of people put out stories and press releases to try and downplay news. And it's right before the July 4th holiday, so you have the buzz going all weekend.
