WWE THREATENS SUBMISSION HOLD

BIG GUYS TRYING TO PUT SQUEEZE TO LOCAL GUYS

  • Print

It seems there's a controversy brewing about a local wrestling show here on Saturday, March 21st.

It's a big card...and for the first time, the Outsiders of the NWO, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall, will face Degeneration X, the Road Dogg and BIlly Gunn.

And that's where the problem comes in.  It seems the WWE isn't too keen on that.  After a lot of calls from concerned wrestling fans, here's the press release I was given by the Waukesha County Expo Center.  Right now, it seems the WWE wants a piece of the pie...or they're threatening copyright infringement.

WWE Tries To Shut Down Local Wrestling Promoter

Waukesha, WI -  Great Lakes Championship Wrestling (GLCW) presents “TWO WORDS….TOO SWEET”, Saturday March 21st at the Waukesha County Expo Center.

Former WWE stars Scott Hall and Kevin Nash, formerly of the WWE’s NWO take on BG and Kip James, formerly Road Dogg and Billy Gunn of WWE’s DX in the main event of a six match show.

Local promoter, Dave Herro was sent a Cease and Desist Order stating that the GLCW is “attempting to pass this event off as an official WWE event.”  Herro says that is not the case and the show will definitely happen.

Kevin Nash says “this is the match they could never do, so they don’t want to see it happen.”

Tickets are on sale at the Waukesha County Expo Center or online at www.blizzardbrawl.com.  A limited number of front row tickets are available for $50, Rows 2-4 are $20 and general admission is $10.  Doors open at 6:30 for a 7:30 bell time.
