NO PHILADELPHIA FREEDOM

Now the Brewers have lost 5 straight in Philadelphia, and 3 straight in the postseason if you include the painful last 2 games of the '82 World Series.
But there is hope...and it comes with 2 letters...CC.
Sabathia an incredible 11-2 with a 1.65 ERA in a Brewers uniform. Sure, he's pitching on 3 days rest for the 4th straight time....and while other Brewers pitchers seem to be running on fumes, c'mon...this is Super CC...I swear until the guy falls off the cliff, he's superhuman!
Other thoughts from the Citizens Bank Press Box: Yes, Cole Hamels was impressive. But one, the Brewers offensive woes continue...and if they think they can win by just trotting out CC to the mound, they will be in trouble. Like Dale Sveum said, they need to score at least a few runs.
And two, I don't want to say I told you so, but I told you so with the Brewers defense. Read my previous blogs. I said their mediocre defense would cost them in the postseason...and what happened in the 3rd inning? Bill Hall double clutches, then the ball clanks off Rickie Weeks' iron glove. Then Mike Cameron comes in, takes a bad angle on Chase Utley's drive, and forgot to bring his 3 Gold Gloves with him as the ball glanced off his glove. This time of the year, you can't have that.
Game 2 prediction? Brewers 4, Phillies 2...but let's hope CC can close it out, because I think Solomon Torres is starting to run on fumes.
