THE BREWERS LEARN POSSIBLE FATE, WITH A COIN FLIP

Some would say it's arguable the Brewers might make the postseason, especially with the wild card lead now down to 3 games.
But if the Brewers are tied at the end of the regular season, here are the team's tiebreaking scenarios. We were in GM Doug Melvin's office on the conference call when the coin flips came down.
If the Brewers tied the Cubs for the division lead, the tiebreaker game would be played at Miller Park. The Cubs called tails, the coin came up heads.
Things not so rosy on the wild card front. The fans voted for Melvin to call tails. So 3 times he called tails, and all 3....came up heads. Melvin joked that he had enough pressure on him, so he let the fans pick it. Then teased coin flipper Joe Gargiola if he was reading it right! Melvin really wanted to call heads on the last one with St. Louis, but he called tails and it came up heads again. So...
If the Brewers are tied with the Phillies, they play in Philly.
If the Brewers are tied with the Astros, they play in Houston.
If the Brewers are tied with the Cards, they play in St. Louis.
Let's hope it doesn't come down to that!
