Now that the Packers are in the offseason, you can only look ahead to the next season...so that's exactly what I'm doing.
While the exact dates won't be known until early April....here's how the schedule shapes up for 2009:
At home, the Packers face the Vikings, Bears and Lions as usual. The Packers play the NFC West, so the 49ers and Seahawks will come to Lambeau. The AFC North is also in the rotation, so you'll see the Ravens and Bengals. And the Packers, courtesy of their third place finish in the NFC North, will play the third place team in the NFC East....which means Burlington's Tony Romo will bring team dysfunction, the Dallas Cowboys to Lambeau for the second year in a row.
On the road, it's the NFC North....then the Cardinals and Rams from the NFC West, the Browns and Steelers from the AFC North, and the third place team from the NFC South...which is the Buccaneers. I sense a lot of ticket brokers and travel agents on hold for those Arizona and Tampa trips! Plus Mike McCarthy goes home to Pittsburgh...which in my opinion makes the road games even more intriguing.
