PACKERS-BEARS PREDICTION

AND IT MIGHT SURPRISE YOU

  • Print

OK, so I think I've picked the Pack about 5 weeks in a row...and the last time I was right, was the last time they won....a 37-3 pasting of the Bears.  So here we go for round 2:

When the Packers have the ball:   The last time, the Bears were so concerned about the Packers passing attack, they rarely had more than 7 in the box....and safety help was deep.  The Packers offensive line was coming off that dreadful performance in Minnesota, and as I suspected, they had a chip on their shoulder and shoved the Bears all over the field for 200 yards on the ground.  After that debacle last year, when the wind was swirling around and the Packers gave up in the cold, the Packers know they have to run and pound a suspect weak interior of the Bears defense...and it appears it might be nearly as cold as last year.

When the Bears have the ball:  Devin Hester is more of a factor in the passing game...4 catches last week, and he drew 2 key defensive penalties, one that set the Bears up for the game winning FG in OT against the Saints.  Kyle Orton is healthy and will be more accurate that his woeful comeback performance at Lambeau Field.

Prediction:  One of these weeks the Packers will win.  And the last 2 years at Soldier Field, the team you least suspected to win...won.  So it's 27-24 Pack.  Merry Christmas everyone!
