C'mon, you can admit it. It's a November tradition along with election fights, the Packers....and deer hunting.
It's the search for Da Turdy Point Buck!
It's a guilty pleasure. The song from Da Yoopers is a classic. You can admit it....you listen to it during Deer Season and sing along:
So I got out from the tree stand,
start headin for the truck,
and thats when I seen it there,
the turdy point buck.
TURDY POINT BUCK?!
turdy point buck.
turdy point buck.
(turdy point buck)
Well, he was 8 foot tall,
weighed 12,000 pounds,
with every step there was a shake,
sh-shakin of the ground.
He was ruthaful, so beautiful.
Strutted right out of my dreams,
he was created by God,
just for outdoor magazines.
Well folks, we've seen the 30 pointer. And apparently Bob Decker of Eau Claire did too. Check out the rack on this baby, a true 30-pointer that ol' Bob got bow hunting on Saturday morning Nov. 1 south of Mondovi in Buffalo County.
Decker claims this is not the monster buck that cause a stir on the Field and Stream website. If you want to compare, you can click on the link provided right here http://fieldandstream.blogs.com/whitetail365/worldrecord.html but it sure looks as big. This 16-pointer could challenge the world record set in 1993.
Emails of your stories, good and bad hunting "the big one," encouraged at lallan@todaystmj4.com and we'll post them in the month of November!
