The number of Cowboys jerseys at Lambeau Field last Sunday, almost too many to count.
And nearly 80 percent of them, Tony Romo jerseys.
There's no doubt people may be Packers fans, but they can pull for and appreciate the small town kid from Burlington who went from being a Demon....to Eastern Illinois...to barely making the Cowboys as a free agent...to a 2-time Pro Bowler.
So we caught up with Ramiro and Joan Romo, Tony's parents before the Sunday Night Showdown. I called Ramiro earlier in the week...and just to show you how normal they are, Ramiro was mopping the floor of his house, to get ready for all the company coming over. Since his wife Joan needed the work done pronto, I told Ramiro the interview could wait, because the mop could be a permanent part of his anatomy if he didn't get it done!
On Sunday I called Ramiro, and he said sure...come over to the Kmart, where they'd be tailgating with family and friends. I never thought I'd have to look at more than 100 Romo jerseys before I found them.
The other funny story...I talked to Tony coming off the field, and told him I did an interview with his mom, who's notoriously camera shy. Tony said that was the major accomplishment of the night!
