SHEETS, WAC OFFICIALS AND TIGER...LOOK OUT!
In a week when the Brewers make history, becoming the first team in Major League Baseball history to fire their manager (Ned Yost) when they're still in playoff position, I guess anything's possible. So it's time to blow off some steam!
Ben Sheets has injuries covered. Let's see. Pain in his right elbow, limits him to 2 innings and 24 pitches, in THE most crucial 
Brewer game of the year so far. Ben, I've defended you before, and the Brewers wouldn't be in this position without him...but this is ridiculous. Thank your lucky stars Brewers fans that Mark DeFelice was up to the challenge...because he didn't just save the game, he saved the season. Let's see, Sheets with a sore elbow and tight groin this year, plus a torn finger tendon, shoulder tendinitis, tight triceps, a sore chest muscle and a torn lat. Sounds like it's time for some conditioning drills to me.
Maybe this is why after saying he likely wouldn't pitch this year, the Brewers are considering bringing Yovani Gallardo back in the pen, and now the recently demoted Manny Parra might be back out of the pen.
WAC officials are horrible. Wisconsin looked like they were going to score again. Former Milwaukee Vincent linebacker DeAndre Levy recovered a Fresno State fumble, up 10-0. But the call was overturned on replay, and ruled and incomplete pass. Let me tell you, Stevie Wonder could have seen the Bulldogs coughed it up. This after Bret Bielema said he'd never play another game with WAC officials after 2 blown calls against Tennessee by WAC refs in the Outback Bowl. From what I've seen, the WAC refs need their stripes ripped and they need to be taken outback and wac'ed.
The US Ryder Cup team is better off without Tiger Woods. There, I said it. It's sacreligious, but it's true. Tiger is 10-13-2 in Ryder Cup play. His lack of chemistry in years past with Phil Mickelson was glaring. He always seemed to treat Ryder Cup play like the way I act when my wife is looking for new curtains...disinterested and ready to move on. And his take no prisoners, I am an island attack in tournament play really doesn't mesh with the team aspect in this. There, I said it. And if the Americans lose this weekend, call me out on it.
