TONY ROMO'S TALE
BURLINGTON'S OWN BEATS BROWNS, THEN FIXES FLAT!
I love the recent survey that determined people from Wisconsin are really nice.
Tony Romo just confirms that very fact to all of Cowboy country. You can take the boy out of Burlington and put him in Texas, but you can't take the Burlington, Wisconsin out of the boy.
Thanks to Tony's old high school basketball coach Steve Berezowitz for pointing this perfect example of character out to me. You see, after Tony beat the Browns, he flew back to Dallas. And as he drove home, he noticed a couple on the side of the road with a flat tire.
Bill and Sharon White told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that at least 100 drivers ignored their plight, before a well-dressed man "with something strange on his chin" walked up and offered to help.
The strange thing was the bandage protecting 13 stitches in Tony's chin. And mind you, after some tragedies in road side assistance, Romo stopped on a buyst street to help.
Apparently Sharon White asked Tony twice if he was Tony Romo, before he finally said yes. The 50-year-old White then said she did what a woman her age shouldn't do....scream loud, jump up and hug Tony.
Her husband Bill's reaction? He told Romo, "Don't tell me how you guys did. I'm going home to watch it (after recording it on TIVO).
