I'M BACK WITH SOME BREWER RANTS
I'M FULL OF ENERGY AFTER VACATION

I got the 3rd degree from my wife for saying on TV that I was going on vacation...so I'd like to thank all of you for not casing my place while I was gone.
Therefore, that is the reason I didn't announce on my blog that I was leaving for awhile. But now I'm back with some Brewer rants:
At 18-9, the Brewers have one of the best records in the last 27 games. So for those of you that are worried about the Cubs running away with things, please take a history lesson from one year ago. Brewers up by 8 1/2 in late June, blow lead in August, can't jump start things in September. Right now? Brewers 6 1/2 back...
And by the way, the Brewers won for just the third time in 25 days when the Cubs lost. But it's happened two days in a row...so please don't panic. And even the Cubs have a "magical" 100 win season, there's no shame in the wild card.
I love Ryan Braun saying he's borderline cocky. He should have a swagger about him. The way he's cranked out HR's and RBI over his first full year in the majors in historic fashion that hasn't happened in decades, he should feel mighty fine.
Bill Hall is starting to worry me. At a Brewers charity event, rather than stick around to coach the kids...he left so fast you probably felt the breeze out at Miller Park. That's just not right.
And the Prince Fielder story, owing $409,000 on back taxes in 2005? Seems like drudging up some past history. But it also just seems like another troubling sign in a very average year for a guy who is a superstar...and another distraction to add to the list.
