Sorry for the delay in blogs...I had some family issues to take care of, and now I'm back.
But anyway, I was invited to take on the "Gravedigger" Gilbert Brown and 4 other media types in a 6-car race at Slinger. Since my Dad has raced, and I've taken a couple of driving schools, I thought no problem.
Because of all the Brett Favre madness, I didn't practice. BIG MISTAKE!
First, thanks to the fine people at Borchardt's speed shop for hooking me up with their car. And because I couldn't hear, I couldn't find the right gears to start the car...so I spun the tires...and then spun out. I felt like a fool.
Later they told me I was leaking something off the right rear. And then Mike Borchardt Jr. told me the right rear axle broke.
It makes sense, but I sure looked like an idiot...not that you might have thought that anyway!
