AARON RODGERS GETS OFF TO GREAT START
This A-Rod Isn't Fumbling His Opportunity
In my mind, you still want to be the guy, who replaced the guy....who replaced the Legend.
So I don't envy Aaron Rodgers at all, trying to fill Brett Favre's shoes. And I'm not convinced he ever will.
But that being said, I don't think he can handle his transition into the starter's role any better. At every turn, he's avoided talk about Brett Favre's veiled comments about a possible comeback. He knows he can't win that battle...and he hasn't even tried.
Now the Packers and Mike McCarthy have shielded him from the media, and told him not to talk about the subject until Wednesday. Bad for us in the media and fans who want to know what he's thinking, but good for Rodgers as he tries to united his teammates and to a lesser degree, Packer nation behind him.
On Wednesday, watch for his real comments about these subjects when he talks at the Packers voluntary open practice. Until then, click on the video link where he gives a little too much information involving Ruvell Martin's charity softball game in Appleton...and watch
Rodgers continue to not fumble away his opportunity to get off to a great start under center.
Now about that hair...
