If you thought Brett Favre might have retired a little early, while still playing well at age 38...well, apparently he started a trend.
For example, Annika Sorenstam just called it quits at age 37...and just like Favre retiring after finishing one game shy of the Super Bowl, Sorenstam is done with 72 victories, just 15 wins shy of the all-time LPGA mark and still near the top of her game. She even gave credit to watching Favre's presser, saying she felt exactly the way he feels. Click on the video link for her Favre shout out.
Now comes word that the world's top ranked tennis player Justine Henin says she's done immediately at age 25, finishing her career less than 2 weeks before the French Open, a major she's won each of the past 3 years. Talk about leaving on top! What in the wild wild world of sports is a goin' on here?
My only thought...I'm 37 and I'm nowhere near retirement. So what have I done with my life?
